Since switching to Xfree4.3 my notebook freezes with nearly any application started by wine. Since i recognized this problem i re-installed my complete system and switched from glibc2.2.5 to 2.3.1 and gcc 2.95 to 3.2.3, rebuilt X several times and tried most availible nvidia drivers. The problem doesnt seem to appear when uninstalling the nvidia drivers and using the drivers provided by Xfree- disabling opengl in wine doesnt seem to help either, but gdb gave me the output it's going to freeze during some glx calls. There is nothing in the logfiles, and the complete system is freezed, not only X. Tried the different options in XF86Config and recompiled the driver several times with different options in os-registry. Enabling or disabling AGP doesnt seem to have effect. Running AGP with agpgart, NVIDIA-AGP is not used, doesnt matter which setting.
