Default How to apply undervoltage to case fan?

I've bought and installed three 120mm Schythe Slipstream 1200RPM fans. They are very effective for their noise level, however I don't reckon that they need move that much air and I want a more silent system. I'll be fine at lower speeds because there's three of them, and I'm not OC'ing and have a Noctua NH-U12P (which is awesome btw!). So how do you turn them down to, say 800 RPM? Do I need to buy some kind of adaptor or can something be done on the mobo pins themselves?

Thanks

If you are running them off your motherboard go into the Power section of your bios and look into the fan settings. You should be able to control them.

Best way? Get a fan controller.

In Power options in the BIOS I only have two options. The value that it's at instantanously anyway or "ignore". Pretty weird.. I'm now using EPU-6 on automatic, that seems to work well and regulate fans well down in idle condition. I would like to set them lower manually however, looks like I'm going to have to invest in some controls..

I've looked at the Scythe Kaze Master 5.25 drivebay, it looks pretty neat and would fit in well with the black stylish theme of the P182 case. However I wonder if I would be able to close the front door.. it's just a bit on the expensive side though..

If you want to change it permanantly you can rewire the molex so its 5v/7v , Thats even cheaper.

I ended up going with the BIOS automatic setting so I'm not dependent on a specific program like I wanted to, in addition to using adapter (resistor) cables to tune the fans that needed it (used a couple that came with a Noctua fan of mine).

For future reference there are various suggestions of methods at this location: http://www.silentpcreview.com/article63-page1.html
