Error after installing Nvidia Driver

Hi, I hope someone can help me with my problem . I've got a Nvidia Riva TNT2 on my System. For this reaseon i installed the nvidia-glx-71 driver with the Synapticmanager. Before i can login, this notice comes ( I use Ubuntu 9.04):

(EE) Failed to load /usr/lib/xorg/modules/drivers//nvidia_drv.so
            (EE) Failed to load module "nvidia" (loader failed, 7)
            (EE) No drivers available.

Does anyone kwnos how to fix the problem ?
i uploaded the xorg.0.log file.

As described in the Ubuntuusers forum, the driver is not compatible with the Version of the X Server you / Ubuntu are using.
