Hi
I've set up a PC for a friend based on a Gigabyte GA-E7AUM-DS2H (nvidia 9400M chipset). Every once in a while, after a reboot (usually if machine boots without any screen connected) X will fail to start. Looking at the log ; you see that X crashed just after you have an error like: (EE) *** Aborting *** (EE) NVIDIA(GPU-0): Failed to allocate EVO DMA push buffer What is this ? Could it be a faulty motherboard? RAM passed memtest86 .. Thanks Jean-Yves |

This issue happened on a Ubuntu 8.10 (interpid) machine.
Upgraded to Ubuntu 9.04 (jaunty) same problem. What's weird is that I use the exact same PC at my place without issues. The only difference is the project he uses |
