Default Reverting from propietary nvidia.com to repo driver

Before upgrading ubuntu 8.10 to 9.04 (32bit) to make thing smoother i would like to revert (and stay after that) from the downloaded driver to the repo driver adviced by ubuntu. What's the best way to do that without messing up my xorg.conf ?

Thanks
