The only tourny I know of is evo..and err...hate to break it to you...but its evo-lved. ^^ the past several years have been SSF2T and third strike, and this year both have been scrapped in favor of sf4 only. A google search of street fighter tournament yields simular results. Also most reviews I have read have SF4 replacing all the others as the best version. SF2 has been officialy replaced by SF4.

I play a lot of Street Fighter 4 on the PS3 and from the PC screencaps it looks even more amazing. Still debating whether or not to get it since I really don't like the addition of Ultras and the elimination of parrying. SF3 gets a lot of play still.

I seriously doubt that... no..I most definetly doubt that... SF2 has been eclipsed by SSF2T, which has been eclipsed by SFA3.

And seriously... jumping?! You don't know how to counter people who jump in a game that does not have air blocking?! Do you suck that bad? -_-

I think SF4 > SF2.. if only because it is SF2 with updated graphics, and new moves/better balance.
You don't know how to get out of an ultra and I'm the one that sucks? lol pwnd

Not to mention you play with an analog stick, lol. Somehow I know I'd give you the beat down in this game. Look me up on the 7th.

gitdat, correction, I dont know how to get out of seths ultra. ^^

And you can't be serious about the thumb stick comment. I mean...I can flick my thumb faster then your whole hand.. what else is there really? I know a full arcade layout would give me much easier access to all 6 buttons.. but I am actually finding the smooth tactile free movement of the thumb stick rather then the ridget square box movement of a joystick to be kinda nicer.

The only complaint I have so far is that I had to mess around, customizing my Logitech Gamepad for 10 minutes. GTA4 auto maps the gamepad perfectly, so why not this one?

Now I will be purchasing a copy via Steam once I can afford it but that will be a couple of weeks. It's well worth the $40.
You're a tool. There I judged you... and lost all my respect for you.

It's because the jump doesn't travel very far like in SF2 so they can get away with it a ton more.
I've had the game for ps3 for a while, and it is actually very well balanced. You just need to play the game for a while, jumping in constantly is definitely a losing strategy against someone who knows what they're doing.

On another note, most official tournaments (as in not in your basement) play SF4 as the main game now. EVO comes to mind, as someone already mentioned. Not sure where anyone was getting sf2 from.

I bought an X-Box 360 Controller for this game. The controller itself is pretty stupid. It doesn't have an OFF and ON button, so I have to disconnect it every time I play other games, otherwise Crysis seems to think I want to use that crap instead of my mouse and keyboard and all the on-screen instructions are for the controller and not the keyboard+mouse.

Microsoft is stupid...why isn't there an OFF button?
