Hi All,
I'm having a minor problem with hesitations on my display. I'm running SuSE 11.1 and KDE 4.2.2. When I cruise with Mozilla (3.0.8, the one that comes with the distro), the mouse pointer stops and everything freezes randomly. 9 time out of 10 it unfreezes, and life goes on. However, every so often, then whole display locks up. I am running BOINC/CUDA in the background when this is going on. Bug report inculuded. Mike Doerner |

From your log it looks like you have your refresh rate set too high. I believe it says you have 85 hz set when you're only allowed 65-76 or so. I'm having a similar problem.

NVIDIA settings say my refresh rate is 59.95 Hz, the ones with 85 Hz in the log file show rejected. Where are you seeing I'm running at 85 Hz?

I am having the same problem, only more frequently, with 180.60. I am now running the 180.37.05 release and the hesitation problem does not seem to be an issue, but I have only been running it 12 hours.

OK, I'm fairly confident that 180.37.05 DOES NOT have the hesitation problem. Now is 180.37.05 just an OpenGL upgrade of the 180.37 driver? If that's the case, the hesitation entered somewhere around 180.41 thru 180.51.

I'm seeing hesitations too, but only in one program, Secondlife.
All other programs run fine. I'm using 180.51 My xorg log reports no errors. Same hesitations seen using 180.60. I'm using Fedora x86_64 and KDE 3.5.9-5.fc7 kernel: 2.6.23.17-88.fc7 No, I am not running CUDA. Last edited by Reindeer; 05-22-09 at 01:00 AM. |
