Yeah, x64 and x86 use the same keys.

I put Vista x64 on my sisters HP laptop using her license key. It came with x86 installed.

This is incorrect. The key determines what edition the install will be, home basic, premium, business, etc, as well as what version it is, e.g. oem, upgrade, or retail. The key is agnostic of whether the copy is 64-bit or 32-bit, this is determined entirely on what disc you are using to install with.

The copies (yes, two) of vista that I have came in two DVD's, one 32-bit and one 64-bit, and each came with its own key. However, I have tried using both keys on both discs, and both work just fine.

searched for "easy cap" just wanted to see what where you talking about, and i found the driver.
