Default Just completed Lost Planet.....Finally

I bought this game for the PC when it was initially released and i'm happy to say i just completed it.....and not because i am a crap gamer either The amount of times i had to reinstall windows due to unforeseen events and restart the game from the begining not helped by the fact that trying to find the save directory is like finding a greased up hamburger at a fat camp. Yes i know where the save directory is now but bugs in steam at the time did not carry over the saves. Anyhoo, around a few days ago i saw to it that i try the game as a means of testing Windows 7's DX10 performance. Fortunately for me it reminded me of the reason i bought the game in the first place and saw to it that i make it to the end......my advise on the bosses.....do unto them as they do unto you. They will pummel you relentlessly even before you get a chance to recover - good god the amount of times i wanted to throw my monitor out the window - but hey pound them with every thing you have and they will give up like a virgin on prom night. Took me under a week to finish.....its a very short game isn't it.

My conclusion, Lost Planet is a very good game with some minor flaws and i look forward to its sequel.

I have never got to the end of Lost Planet either. I just started playing it again after reading the news of Lost Planet 2...

Hope i get to finish it this time although i tend to only play it at an hour or so at a time.

I picked it up when it was five bucks on Steam. I played it through until mission 9 of 11 and I grew tired of it, so I downloaded a trainer and just pushed my way through to the end to get it over with. Not a bad game, but just didn't keep my interest like some.

I found the final fight very frustrating with pc controls... Other than that and a few minor flaws it was probably one of my favourite games from 2007.

It's curious, I also started this game, finished 3 levels and left it for a year. Then got it back, started again and finished it. It's a 8/10 game imho, really liked it.

Yeah. I went for the 360 pad, simply because the controls were more natural, was willing to accept the loss of mouse aim. Great game, cool mecha.

PC controls were the way to go for me. I tried the 360 controller and it was too damn slow and unprecise. Its a great game, bloody hard in all difficulties but the easiest one.
