As for your comment - yes, you can connect big TV to your PC. Yes, you can also connect receiver and big 5.1 speakers to your Creative X-Fi card.

But most people don't do it.

Most people have big TVs and great speakers only in their HT setup
, so playing on console in their living room, sitting on sofa (with friends), gives them better overall experience.

PC gaming is usually a pretty lonely experience with primitive Logitech speakers and 20" LCD screen.

Good for some, but not for me.

In some areas you completely miss the point - like with DRM. I do not care about DRM on Xbox, as it does not make my work PC (I work as a SW developer) unstable. SecuROM, StarForce, Tages and others might.

I think people who prefer PC over console mostly:

- cannot afford both (PC and console gaming setups)
- cannot afford to buy big TVs
- like to steal games (which is way harder on consoles, so they stick with PCs)
You're not talking serious right?

Wow. I'm glad I have both and can respect all platforms equally. I'd hate to sound like any of you PC or console fan boys.

Oh good, it's been far too long since we had a PC/console flamewar.

If you say "updating drivers, downloading patches, and then some more patches", I say "hassle free gaming and automatic updates for all your games". If you say "Tages, SecuROM, StartForce and other forms of DRM which make your PC unstable", I say "WHAT?!". If you say "Logitech PC speakers" and Creative X-Fi, I say "excellent Acoustic Energy 5.1 setup w/ Onkyo receiver", and so on...
seriously , why?

stealing games on a console is 100000x easier than a pc. atleast with u have to look around for the crack after each patch, u also CANNOT play online, updates are a pain as you will have to wait for the cracked updated .exe. In console, just mod and play, and u can also play online if u wanted to since there is no check on a key...

Gamepads were on PC the same time as consoles. I don't see why you associate them with console so much. Gamepads are part of the PC catalogue of specialist peripherals like joysticks (They two started on console AND PC), wheels, throttles.

I mean I've always had a gamepad for my PC. How else was I gonna play OMF: 2097? best fighting game ever BTW.

Whoa, so much fail eminates from your posts, it's shocking.

I own both the hd consoles, i have a big tv and when i look into my games cupboard i feel almost physically sick at the idea of how much money i've spent on games over the years.

I love using gamepads with PC games(except for RTS titles of course.)! It's so comfy playing crysis warhead on my 92 incher with a wireless controller whilst sitting on my couch.

The only thing I'd like to see in PC games is split-screen multiplayer(which is why I still prefer console-games).

I'm so sick of the "pc gamers are stuck sitting alone in the dark hunched over a desk while console gamers lounge on the sofa with their surround sound and big screens while being fed grapes and high-fiveing friends" argument. It's simply not true. If you have a pc, you can hook it up to whatever you want and it will mostly likely be better. I've had mine in the living room for two years now and I game while sitting on my sofa. During that time it has evolved into the central hub of my home theater system. I have no problems with consoles but I prefer the freedom of PCs.

To each their own.

Sorry to rant on my first post. I've just seen this argument way too much.

I always wonder why the console guys always have to come in and immediately start trash talking. I never ever go into the console section and trash talk for any reason (and I own an X-Box 360 as well). The PC gaming section is for PC's and all the good things (and bad things) that make true PC gaming what it is. The console section is there to talk console stuff, and trash pc's as MUCH as you Like.

I mean seriously why do the console dudes come in here and start up with all their lame crap. So over it, and it smacks of insecurity.
