Hi,
We just notice that every driver > 180.29 will crash any opengl application when using hoard ( http://www.hoard.org/ ). Hoard is a memory allocator that replace the standard glibc memory allocator and offer better performance in multithreaded application. Hoard uses the LD_PRELOAD mechanism. I read in another thread that driver appears to haev the same behaviour with tcmalloc ( thread Nvidia OpenGL borked since 180.22 ). As anyone experience this behaviour with hoard ? Is there any workaround ? Best regards, Marc |

Latests beta driver 185.18.10 fix trouble with alternate memory allocator ( hoard or nedmalloc).
There is still a problem, executable linked with -pie ( position independent executable ) crash even with this new driver. Any suggestions ? |
