Exclamation Just in case you missed this in the screenshot thread - amazing.

Blade Runner, as rendered by Cryengine 2. This isn't a mod, more of a demo of what the engine is capable of. Pretty impressive!

And Aliens, also by Cryengine 2:

Hmmm. They are nice pictures. Must be the PS3 doing the rendering...

Yeah, seeing official posts by Crytek as to what their engine was capable of (including renders of Blade Runner) isn't interesting in the slightest is it?

But then again, I just read some of your earlier posts, just to clarify that, yes, you really are a sad, sarcastic little man.

Like I give a crap what you think about me. Oh no, some nerd who is having an orgasm over some screenshots of concept pictures of what is possible, but will never happen. Ever. My life has all been a sham. Wow.

Both renders look fine overall.

The first two screenshots are mostly impressive because of the amount of detail in them. There are rendering errors, like for example the sidewalk on the right does not display any shadows. First, check the closest "fence". It has a strong shadow on the street, which abruptly ends when the sidewalk starts. The right "fence" has no shadow at all on the sidewalk, despite there should be one in similar direction.

The Aliens render is fine too. But for what it displays, it could be done in COD4 or any other modern engine just with the right textures and models.

Well personally they don't really mean a lot to me, since they are just images you can't really tell how good the whole scene is, are there videos of the scenes?
