Win 7 RC download problems
This is just an FYI for others like me trying to get this.
I tried in vain all day at work (2nd system) but it kept getting cut off.
Surprisingly the download manager applet didn't really catch that properly.
Then at home on my Fios 20MB/S connection. (damn I love FIOS)
It would download 100% repeatedly (3-4 tries), but it would fail on the CRC check embedded within the MS applet; and delete it (no option).
Finally read a suggestion on the MS forum.
It took 2 more tries this morning, but I finally got it.
One more thing: Someone at MS must really have a thumb up their butt.
It refused to allow my home email address (verizon.net) to be used to register; for some 'invalid domain' excuse.
IS MS mad at Verizon about something?
Will install it tomorrow night after the new HDD delivery.
I figure I used in excess of 20BG of bandwidth in 24 hours from my home account.
Thank god I don't have roadrunner or ComCast and their insane (rape the user) cap limits.
