HP dv2120us laptop bricked by nVidia linux graphics driver

I have a dv2120us HP laptop that has been bricked by the bug in nVidia's linux display driver noted here:

I understand that Fujitsu has a fix available for this and I was wondering if nVidia knew of any way to get assistance from HP to resolve this bug? I have also posted this to the HP support forums:
