hm, I hadnt even thought about the single player for this game. Always assumed it was multiplayer focused, which it is, and sp just a bonus. I think I'll be getting it once it goes on sale

I usually buy games for SP. I don't have time to play MP.

Good thing the SP is short then, since you don't have time for MP. Dumb logic.

not really dumb logic, see i can put this in simplier form for you to understand

what I like about SP, at least with proper saving system (not the console type checkpoint system), you can play the game for 10-60 minutes, you can pause it at pretty much anytime, save and exit anytime you want.

with MP, once you enter a game, you can't pause it, often when you exit game before time your "progress" isn't saved.

I can't just sit for hours and hours and play game. I can be playing a game and at any time someone might call me, my girl might need or want "something". etc... That why SP is better, if short break then pause.

When did you last play a MP game? Apparently you're living in the 90s.

I'm glad this game has the config files fully exposed, unlike Bulletstorm. I was able to get it to run in 3D Vision Surround at 5760x1080 with the correct aspect ratio just by editing a few ini values, although the game should have natively supported it in the first place. Only problem is HUD stretching.

I've only played the SP so far. The game has the "Ramirez, do everything!" syndrome from MW2, where this gruff soldier person is holding my hand throughout the entire level telling me every little thing I should do. Jump over this fence! Go down this alleyway! etc. etc. The shooting mechanics themselves feel pretty solid, although all the guns are basically some variation of an assault rifle so far, so pretty par for the course for a modern action shooter. The story isn't anything special either, except for the absurdity of North Korea taking over the Korean peninsula and then the rest of southeast Asia. Some handwaving with the US being bogged down in a middle eastern conflict explains why they let NK do that, but then its not like China will just stand aside either and let all this happen in its backyard.
