They only showed the Charger, but Im fairly sure they said there were more special zombies they didnt talk about yet.
Then there are the fireproof zombies and the daylight behavior for the witch (wandering witch as they call them), not really new monsters but still.

In the end it offers somewhat more content then the first game.
Sure it would have been nice if they released one new campaign as a free update then and then, but Im kinda hoping they will still do that for both of the game to keep them fresh.

You fail at reading it seems.

It contains brand new 5 campaigns (they're not re-using original 4 campaigns from first game plus it's much larger in L4D2) so it's already more than just an expansion. 4 new surivors you can choose, new weapons (melee, gun and ammo), new items, new monsters and bosses, more versus campaigns, more survivor maps, deeper co-op gameplay, new improved AI director 2.0 to make experience even better and tense (weather changing, world objects, etc.), new changes in the engine and gameplay, blah blah.

They haven't revealed the whole contents yet, let alone the pricing. It's already considered a full sequel.

Also Valve still said DLC is on the way to original L4D. Not exactly sure what it is. Maybe one new campaign.

I agree Valve made statements which led people to believe L4D would get TF2-style DLC for free, and it didn't (as of yet), and that is a little suspect. Still though, L4D was well worth $50 or whatever you paid for it, so it's hard to feel fleeced.

Games like left 4 dead and what not only spread and become REALLY popular due to a committed fanbase of people that help bolster consistent numbers and voice praise over the net.

22,000 is a lot of fans and if they took the time to boycott then I think we can call them dedicated.

L4D2 contains 5 new campaigns, plus the 4 old campaigns, 5+4 = 9, regardless, 1 campaign != 1 map, its about 4-5 maps, 5 new campaigns means about 20-25 new maps.

It's unknown that L4D2 will contain the original content, if so then we should be even more pissed since they are selling then both games for only $50 where we paid $50 for half a game...

Again, no one is forcing you to buy the game.

I don't see threads all over the place about the ridiculous prices you have to pay for the COD games, which are released year on year basically and have a hit and miss setup. World at War just came out and a new game, Modern Warfare 2 is coming out just a few months later.

Where is the uproar? Where are the boycotts?

They provide a complete experiance, an SP game and an MP game. L4D only brings MP which other then replaying the same maps over and over with your friends lasts you 4 hours on expert and thats it. COD games atleast had an experiance system to add more to the game the more you played, the more you played L4D the more you got... nothing. You just replayed the same things over and over again. The AI Directory was pretictable and just stupid most of the time so replays felt the same.

If the original L4D had some growth in the replay and possible a real SP experiance I dout people would boycott the sequal. And yes I am forced to buy it because once it comes out most of the community will move over to it leaving original L4D owners without servers.

Gabe Newell speaks and recognices the Xbox is limiting their ability to release updates and DLC. I hope they can make Microsoft change their mind and their restrictions policy.

We’re always going look at what makes sense to do and how to manage that transition. You have these complicated situations and on PC it’s not so bad. On the Xbox it’s a lot more complicated because you can’t guarantee that people have all of the right content given their DLC model, where some people might have some content and others not, which makes it end of up with this weird, complicated thing where this person has this, and this person has this. Where as on the PC we can assume that people have everything. So, we’re trying to get that fixed because they’re sort of cramping our ability to push more free content into customer’s hands when we aren’t sure which free content they have right? And the stuff that you’re allowed to require customer’s to have on the Xbox, it’s only 8MB. That’s the maximum size you can ever change. So, we do that with the first minor update that we do. We’re trying to figure out how to manage that.

So, those are the things we’re sort of struggling with. These constraints on the Xbox. We can release new content on the PC and know that 100% of the customers have it so we don’t have to worry about splitting up our user base into those people who have this weapon and those people who don’t. On the Xbox you don’t have that luxury, where some people could have half the weapons, but not the other weapons. And you don’t know. Every person can be unique. So what we’d really like to do on the Xbox is work with Microsoft so that we can do exactly the same thing that we do with PC users and say hey, everything’s free and everybody always has that. The one problem would be the people who don’t have hard drives and what we would do with them is just orphan them to the first initial release and they can play against all those other people who don’t have hard drives. Everybody who has a hard drive will be up-to-date all the time, the same way they are on the PC side, and that, I think, would help us enormously to have that consistent model across the PC and Xbox

Well I´d say screw MS and the Xbox, if they cant facilitate the content.
You have steam, just push out content on there until MS comes around and offers a solution that works for their platform and audience.
Everyone I´ve talked to that DIDNT like the game, had been playing it on the 360, alone, and every time I´ve responded "YOU´RE DOING IT WRONG!".

But then again that prolly wouldnt work with legal and business issues and whatnot..
