Default Texture problem: Mandrake 9.1 + NVidia x86-1.0-4363

I upgrade from mandrake 9.0 to mandrake 9.1 +
NVidia x86-1.0-4363.
Now when I start Halflife (width wine) it works, but there aren't any texture on the walls ...

I check my hl files+cfg on Windows ME , and it works fine.

Linux Mandrake 9.1

It really looks like you have some mesa **** left on your system. Look for files like libGL.a and the libGL.so files in /usr/X11R6/lib.

Those packages are good. Search for files, not for packages. The mesa files I talked about are useally bundled with X itself...

I found these:
libGLU.so.1 -> libGLU.so.1.3.500
libglut.so.3 -> libglut.so.3.7.1

Try this:
- updatedb
- locate libGL

Then remove all libGL, libglx, libGLcore files and reinstall the nvidia glx package. For both the easiest way to get it fixed.

And one intresting thing. ... that crash, when i click to the display setting ...

Well ... I try to test width another 3D game, because this problem is not very clean ...
(I mean If tuxracer work cool, than the card and the driver settings must be good) ...

Well, well ...

I test width Quake 2. and I fixed one mistake:
----------------
Error: Could not open /dev/nvidiactl because the permissions
are too resticitive. Please see the FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
section of /usr/share/doc/NVIDIA_GLX-1.0/README for steps
to correct.
----------------
--> I do that, what is in the readme ... and it works

But the Half Life + wine don't work fine. (there isn't texture) ...

So, I think ... If only Half Life doesn't work, it's not realy card/driver/config problem

Default Hmmm...

I also have this prob. and it includes all games. I'm using Slack 9, X 4.3.0, winex CVS 030620, nv 1.0-4363.

I have checked the specific libGLs and they are linked to nVidias libs. I have also replaced the gl, glx and gltoken X11 GL includes with the nVidia includes.
glxinfo shows nothing but nVidia. I made a ldd and it looks fine too. I've double checked everything.

Is there any more diagnostics that I can do? To figure out if there is something linked wrong.

Something is obviosly wrong but it reach beyond my knowledge. I would be quite happy if someone could help me solve this.

Default Finaly got it...

This is what I did...

XF86 4.3.0 got a strange gl.h in /usr/X11R6/includes/GL this one has to be replaced with the nVidia one. Located in /usr/doc/NVIDIA~/includes/GL. Or the one from XF86 4.2.0.

This makes it on most of the systems. Just recompile wine.
This however, wasn't enough for me though. I had to configure wine with the --enable-pthread option. After compilation it all worked.
