Clock for clock 800 MHz doesn't actually net much in terms of performance. The speed is in the architecture. Overclocking your CPU used to matter back in the day but doesn't mean much these days aside from bragging rights. Not too worried about my c ock size these days anyways since I don't like my PC sounding like a jet engine.

I always skip a generation before I upgrade. I previously had an 8800GTX and the jump to my current video card was huge especially in Crysis. Crysis is just on another level of awesomeness when the game is consistently running smoothly.

yea id say a GTX275 was a good buy, and im the total opposite, I waited to upgrade my 7900GT till the 8800GT's got as low as 60 used

QFT. I do that for all of my hardware. I use it until it can't run anymore and I rarely game as much as I use to, so it lasts even longer now. Plus, wait longer, prices come down.
