Default 185.18.14 still corrupts desktop

Hello there,
I've upgraded almost everything I could in my Debian sid x86 (with KDE 4.2), but even using the latest nvidia drivers (185.18.14) my display still crashes occuring these events:
  • The display corrupts reproducible when starting tvbrowser 2.7.2-1 (a Java application, see http://www.tvbrowser.org/en/). I get a corrupted screen, display errors and no way to "redraw" the screen. The dmesg output beneath comes from after this corruption, the attached nvidia-bug-report not.
  • Sometimes a kernel panic (I guess - I don't see anything) when starting a new session of konsole (2.2.3 delivered through KDE 4.2.3) with a translucent background. Before the widget appears, the system freezes and I am forced to reboot. I don't see anything in X.org.0.log or syslog.

Code:

I have similar issues... random lockups, some are almost recoverable and others I have to do a hard power down.

Upon reboot syslog has entries with:

CE: hpet increasing min_delta_ns to 15000 nsec

followed by:

NVRM: Xid

I'm running Jaunty with Gnome, and a 9600M Geforce using 185.18.14 drivers.

I've got a new issue, a painting problem in plasma. Anything else looks fine though.
I should mention, I didn't had this issue with the driver before (180.44 on Linux 2.6.26) neither the problem with the corrupt desktop. However the konsole issue already existed there.
