I don't understand why grown men like simulation racing games? Why not just hop in a car. better yet go to a go cart race.
Just my opinion |

It costs FAR less. In real life you cant tear around the streets with mr plod charging your ass. So you have to go to a track. The track costs a fair bit, not to mention you have to have a car that can actually shove it. Then you are paying insurance, HUGE fuel bills and a set of tyres if you drive like you should. Sure its dosent have the complete experience of real life, and a true simmer would never equate the two. Its merely another hobby that allows a sharing of common interests.

Are you serious ? I mean where else but in a game can you hop into a F1 car,fly a plane, drive 210 mph in a nascar, drive a subaru factory rally car on snowy swedish roads etc etc.People dream about being successful racecar drivers and for all but a tiny number of talanted/heavily sponsored people it remains a dream.

You need to live near a track if you want to go often It's expensive Try getting someone to insure you. Unless your country has a dedicated enthusiast insurance companies most will just laugh at you. You can only really drive one car (your own) or a small selection (rent) and what everyone else said. I mean I'd like to see you do a quick lap in your real life F1 car, or take part in the Dakar Rally. Just post the vids on Youtube. |
