I finally grabbed it today... played the first level and was amazed. Seems like an amazingly top quality game, and some of the best graphics... well, ever, in my opinion. Maybe not Crysis level, but better in some small ways... stunning overall.

The auto-aim with dual guns is annoying though, I agree... I avoided using them because of that as well. The weird thing is the menu has an option to turn off auto-aim, but it doesn't actually do it for those weapons. Weird.

I see there might be single-player DLC for this game, from the look of the "bonus missions" tab... I wish more games had single-player DLC.

You should ask for a refund, they printed a whole bunch of random letters on the items rather then the games name...

game seems like a nice console shooter. framerate analysis over at b3d confirm that it is a 30fps solid game (a little confused on how frame tearing affects framerates...if it tears every frame, does that mean it is running 60?).

the graphics aren't world class, but they're certainly very good for the platform they're targeted at. but i hate the low-class bloom/hdr solution (which many console games use, same weird ass tint). i'm not saying its a bad game, just it has its downsides. its also boring to me, but thats imo.

edit: seems like 60fps on consoles : http://forum.beyond3d.com/showthread...=50756&page=16 so that furthers my dissapointment. it's not even a great looking console shooter (not maxing the hardware at 30fps), although the obvious tradeoff is that it runs at a faster hz. carmack said doom4 will contain 3x the graphics load because of a 30fps framerate (vs 60 in Rage), so it really makes me yearn for a western shooter that doesn't look like a 2005 game (or slightly worse).

I guess I sound like a good old negative Nancy.

Man you guys muct have skipped the story, side missions and exploring. There is way more than 5hrs if you play properly. Maybe under 5 if you play like a tool. Do play like a tool sillyeagle. It's unbecoming.

I've got 6:53 into it my self, though from the looks of it I'm right near the end of the game. I was hoping not, but after seeing slawters play time it seems I must be. lol Should be a good one to play again though.

hmm, game has audio bug. Game crashes right at a start of a level if audio is set to 24bit 96000hz mode. have to set it to 16bit
