Sapphire manufactures almost all of the "Built By ATi" Radeons. They also produce most of the oem cards.

Mike,

I second HB request. Would be interesting to know what you think of the AA and AF when you had a chance to look at both D3D and OpenGL games.

Thanks. I'll certainly be conducting overclocking tests! That window unit A/C can get the temperature in the computer room down to 60 Fahrenheit (15 Celsius) when I close the door

Yes, I purchased the card myself as eVGA and Inno3D recently renewed their advertising deals. I invested all of the revenue back into the web site by getting many of the guys that work here upgraded hardware or other forms of compensation The support we get from eVGA and Inno3D is awesome.

It was strange removing the NV35 as the Radeon 9800 Pro is the first non-NVIDIA graphics card that I've used in 5 years. But now that nV News is attracting visitors that are interested in ATI products, I though this would be a good move for us.

Along with testing gameplay, examining AA and AF will be my primary focal points in the near term. My ultimate goal will be to provide visitors an honest opinion when evaluating graphics card features that are important to gamers.

the thought crept into my mind the day we didnt get a nv30 preview card but a few other "big" sites did.

still kinda pissed bout that, although I now understand why they didnt want us to see it.

Heh. According to the New Egg web site and invoice, the product I purchased was an ATI OEM RADEON 9800PRO 256MB. But my wife couldn't find a listing for the card at New Egg the day it shipped.

I assumed that New Egg was discontinuing sales of the ATI model of the card and that I had ordered the last one in stock. It's no big deal to me though since its running fine.
