I am in the very same situation. I've used the following (in this order):

Intellimouse 1.1
Diamondback
Intellimouse 3.0
Sidewinder
MX518
G5
Habu
Copperhead (possibly my favorite)
Fatal1ty 2020 (current)

I'm seriously thinking of going back to the Intellimouse. Going to Microcenter today, if they're cheap I'll pick one up.
