A year or two ago I played through the entire Dark Forces game in DOS box over the course of a week.
That was a surprisingly awesome game for how old it was. It sort of felt like a star-wars mod for Doom, but it was a lot of fun.

Yeah, either Steam or GOG or even retail... some kind of way for all the old classics to be bought again in working order. That would be a great announcement for old fans that is not about one particular franchise.

Someone on Destructoid pointed out it's probably SCUMM games on the Wii's virtual console, and I think that is likely.
1. They already got SCUMM working on the Wii in order to have Fate of Atlantis as an extra on the new Indiana Jones Wii game. 2. Old fans happy, no specific IP, etc. etc... 3. Wii Remote works well in place of a mouse, no graphical upgrades needed on Virtual Console. 4. Virtual Console updates Mondays, so they can announce and release at once. Seems obvious now. Sucks I don't own a Wii.

Yeah all of us hoping for it to be something actually awesome like Jedi Knight III might as well stop hoping... even if it was something like that they would probably make it console-only. Look how they screwed us over with The Force Unleashed.

Good news, but they're not releasing enough games for this to be really interesting...

Wonder if Republic Commando will get fixed to work with new systems... pointless to rerelease a broken game.
