This is great news from Lucasarts. They said it's just the beginning. It means we will see more and maybe they're going back to where they're great at, making adventure games.

I'm sure we will see more old games being released on Steam in the future like Dark Force, Jedi Knight, Tie Fighters, etc.

Har, I got it second time out...

Anyway, good news I guess... I agree with Cap that the opening salvo is pretty lame. I look forward to real classics down the line.

Would I be shot if I said I was hoping for console remakes? Cause I was.

Don't me wrong... The Dig, The Last Crusade and The Fate of Atlantis are some of the greatest adventure games of all time (and I've heard great things about Loom) but the rest of the games don't really do anything for me.

I played Republic Commando and it seemed like a generic sci-fi shooter to me.

Battlefront II had the potential to be awesome, but the game's low budget feel left a lot to be desired.

Lucas has made far better games than most of these, so I'm hoping that they release them in a timely manner. My guess is that they'll put some out every few weeks or months to keep people buying. If they released their whole catalogue at once their most popular games would sell and the less popular ones wouldn't.

QFT. I want to play it again though, it's really a great game.

Loom is aweome, if a little depressing. Probably the darkest LA adventure game. Great system for casting spells too.

Steam just released the first batch of Lucasarts games. What's game is the best of the lot?

If you are into adventure games, get The Dig.

Where did you get that? I had it on 3.5", wasn't available on 5.25", that was old obsolete tech by then.

As much as I would love to see an X-wing or TIE Fighter remake I doubt they would do it, it's too complex a game for modern "gamers" remember having to balance shield and laser recharge rates? That's not accessible enough by today's standards. Unless they change the game completely, in which case I will steer clear as my romantic teenage memories will be ruined.
