game is boring now with the re-spawning enemies just like FC2, bad driving and repetitive gameplay

Surely this game is not as dull as FC2 however, no? I'm assuming this game has many more interesting ways and weapons to deal with the respawns?

Nothing is as bad as FC2.

The respawns in this game are a non issue. Just run or drive by them if you aren't interested in gaining the xp from killing them.

Personally the FOV and hitting that forward slash occasionally like Rummy mentioned a few posts back are/were the only real issues I had with this game.

why should they hire him? he's doing all this work on his own.

does he DESERVE to get paid? Absolutely. Hopefully the gaming community will donate (which they probably won't) to help compensate him for his work but generally, guys that do this stuff simply have to do it because it needs to be done and expect nothing but a "thanks" in return.

I do a lot of $5 donations to software writers though. If there's an addon for chrome or firefox that I really like or an app for android that is based on donations that I like, $5 is a small price to pay for the huge convenience they may offer me.

Probably why devs releases it in that state, knowing that some PC modder will fix it for them after release.

Amazing isn't it that devs just don't even give such short time for the PC and such tweaks. It's just very, very lazy.

release it with the hopes someone else can fix your mess.... I guess only a console dev would consider that acceptable. I give your theory a "Plausible".

Yeah I was hoping I could gain an advantage through good use of the skill tree and the right weapon to offset the fact the enemies level with you, like I did in Borderlands, but doesn't really make a difference. When I played borderlands I got to the point where for a while I could kill almost any enemy with a single trigger pull, but no such luck with Dead Island.

I always liked the leveling in Morrowind, where you simply couldn't take on certain guys or go into certain areas until you were strong enough.

Totally agree - Just found out though, that once you beat the game you can begin a second play through with the same character and retain all upgrades and levels

bad guys are still a higher level, but at least the weapons and skills are there now.
