Looks like it, at least... missions, leveling system, (relatively) open exploration (or, at least, some degree of exploration freedom)... like Resident Evil on tabasco. A guaranteed purchase for me

Um yeah no... I could have told you that from the original trailer. It's trying to compete with L4D and Borderlands... not Silent Hill/Resident Evil.

Well the only thing I didn't like about Borderlands was the +XP pop ups every time I shot off my gun.
What really turned me off though was after they said weapons and what not were going to be realistic, you don't find a bunch of guns on a resort island, I see a giant seven foot straitjacket mental patient with ramming upper body armor charging around realistic and that gun they show that looks like a large stick, no thanks.
