Default NVIDIA xinerama failure in Xorg 1.6.1

Since upgrading to the latest slackware-current (xorg 1.6.1, was 1.4) I have found xinerama no longer works with any of the 185.14/15,190 drivers. Only setting "xinerama" to 0 will allow X to start. Also tested using kde and fluxbox.

It doesn't matter what screen / device config I try to use in xorg.conf - as long as xinerama is enabled over more than one screen it dumps back to the console.

I have managed to get two screens on the same device working now. The problem is with the NVIDIA driver init'ing two devices and reporting them to X.

If I disable:

Section "Device"

BusID "PCI

Then I get two screens. Problem is I have three monitors!

I tried 190.09 on 32bit slackware-current as well. I have two monitors connected to one GPU in twinview. The first time I start up, it worked perfectly. After a reboot, it started freezing up the system, and KDE compositing disabled itself, saying it was running too slow. I switched back to 185.18.14 and all is well again.

The changelog shows that the x server was upgraded again last night to 1.6.2. Maybe that will help?
