I started a download of the 64-bit Ultimate at 1:00pm EST on Technet and queued up the 32-bit version as well thinking they would both be done when I got home from work. Well, work ran over and I'm back now...11½ hours later at 12:30am and the 64-bit version is at only 84%!!!!! Ridiculously slow; like having a 2400 baud modem again.
Even so, I'd rather just wait and let it finish than risk a download from a newsgroup. No big deal since I'm running the RC anyway.

A bit much, eh? Idiot-ville. Not usually. If you think so then you're just hanging around Bigman and Rob too much. |

Well not being familiar with newsgroups is one thing, spending 15 hours downloading the same exact file when you already have it is another. If the hashes match its the same file. There are alot of people re-downloading the MSDN image cause they dont know what the hashes are for.
