It at least is a bit different from most generic fps:s out there and isn't really "consolized" at all as the game is developed for PCs and then ported to consoles. The xbox360 version of L4D2 and the PC version are just set for a simultaneous release.

The complaints of games being consolized sums L4D (1 and 2) up perfectly. Doesn't matter if it is the truth, I am just going off of what PC elitists say.

Just proves that PC elitists aren't really the sharpest tools in the shed.

Personally, I'm in the opposite boat. As someone who has been gaming off and on since the mid-80s, I don't think I've been more overwhelmed with titles I'm interested in then I have been over the past couple years.
Welcome to the forum Kuddles, nice avatar btw...

Maybe I am burned out already, but I have to agree that is just isn't as fun as it used to be. The biggest thing for me, like someone said above, is game developers are taking the thinking out of the loop and for someone like me who enjoys taking my time and having to work my way through a game it sucks. That leads me to another reason why I am sick of it. Maybe I just have bad luck, but I rarely find a MP server where people are not a bunch of dickheads. It's either they are not willing to play as a team, which is required in games such as L4D, or they are just there to grief everyone else. Honestly, MP gaming just isn't fun for me anymore even with people I have gamed with for the last 8 years.

i have no problem finding servers where people work together. True there are alot of idiots, but there are decent gamers out there.

The enemies do not keep respawning in Call of Juarez BiB... I always play games moving slow, and stay back until the area is clear, and I did the same thing in Call of Juarez. There might be some select rare instances where they keep spawning, like until you destroy the bridge, but it's rare.

Same thing with Call of Duty, I always stay back and kill until enemies stop coming... they do not infinitely spawn, except for some rare instances.

Youre right, not everywhere but there were several places i just sat and with the shotgun and gunned them down one after another endlessly.

And its not only that. Neither do i like the "go here, run there, do this and stand here" cinematic style, holding your hand and always telling you where to go and what to do at the present moment. And if you happens to explore a little to far your brother dies. The FOV, auto-aim and new and worse bullet time wasnt to my liking either...

I loved the first Juarez but BiB was a disappointing game to me but im still having high hopes for Techland:s Dead Island

Well it's a linear game, for sure. I like those, though.

re OP:happens to everyone... I stopped playing games for a year and a half and only recently got back into it. go find another hobby for a year, come back and upgrade your graphics to 2x the power and play all the great games you missed on your hiatus. that's what I did, and I've been playing Stalker CS, Crysis, Warhead, Fear2, empire total war...
