I think the D0's run slightly hottter but are more stable than the c0/c1, i might wrong though. TBH the variation in temps from stock and my 3.6Ghz o/c isnt that much at all..maybe just a few degrees on load. Once you start hitting 4Ghz is when heat becomes a factor, for me anyway.

I can't seem to find that cooler on Newegg, but haven't checked frozencpu yet. If it's cheap enough I could see getting it over the Ultra-120. Ultimately, price would be the determining factor. If it costs more then I'm not paying extra for at best a 3*C drop. If it costs the same or less I'll probably pick one up.

Do you know where I can purchase these and about how much they go for? Thanks Grey!

EDIT: There are a ton of reviews on this thing, all favorable. I'd suggest you look some up before throwing down the cash, just to make sure you don't think one site erred or is biased. Post back what you get!

A plethora of reviews and most saying exceptional things about that cooler. The common negative is the coolers' availability.

Now I'm torn- either wait for that cooler to become more available or just get the Ultra-120 extreme. Thanks, Grey. You might have just delayed my build. J/K

I'm all about quiet performance....when I decided to get another s775 CPU(Q9550) I did my research and decided on the Noctua NH-U12P 120mm, they have fantastic cooling and are virtually silent.
Off topic...but along the same lines I'm adding an AC Accelero Xtreme280 for my GTX260, another silent but effective cooler
