I bought this game and just installed it today. Pretty deep and impressive 4x4 game for $30. Very much like Screamer4x4 only tons better. Although, wish I would of seen that #2 is coming out soon, would of bought that instead but I digress. Edit: After more research #2 is out currently but only in Russian, took over a year before English version came out. <sigh>
Lots of very diverse terrain. Physics are very pretty well but not perfect. I don't think game would be fun if physics were 100%. The terrain would have to be much more boring. You do really get a sense of good or bad traction and how tough your vehicle is working over the terrain. Excellent graphics, Chrome Engine is still very nice but hits the frame rate hard too. www.4x4game.ru ![]() ![]()

Just want to post again saying I was stupidly playing in Arcade mode this whole time. Changed to Sim mode and wow, this game totally comes alive.
Now, this is the way I expected an off road game like this to drive like; definitely more real now. Sense of speed is kinda low depending on what view you use but you'll realistically over shoot turns if you don't watch out. Very touchy to not lock up the brakes which is cool now. Fire roads become crazy cause your vehicle will bounce out of control over bumps if you're not careful. Slides and powering through mud now gets squirrelly. Very cool trail deformation leaving tracks behind. ![]() ![]()

Graphics are pretty nice. I've never heard of this.
I might have to check it out.

oh wow, I was just looking at the ones from the second post and it didn't look bad for a budget game... I just clicked the thumb nails and I have to take that back.
Eek... ![]()

Unlocked all maps now, not since Screamer4x4 have I had so much challenging fun trying to simply drive a truck/jeep. Last two levels are just totally crazy how the courses are layed out; have to constantly change camera view just to see and figure out where and how to go. Great truck/jeep sim, highly recommend it. ![]() ![]()

keep in mind that there are 3 versions of Chrome engine, Chrome 2 (the Game) will run on Chrome 4 engine.

Does this have an in-car view, with a steering wheel and dash?
Second, where can I buy this?

Edit: here are some incar view screens. Wonder if there is a way to change the FOV? That would help tons. Anyone know the Chrome engine tweaks? ![]() ![]() ![]()
