So, who knows?

As I said earlier, Stardock said digital sales were 25% of Demigod's sales. If we factor in that Steam is much more popular than Impulse, we could be talking about a lot of sales.
Hey, you ever seen this Steam Stats page? I don't know why, but I've never really looked at it before.

I suppose if someone hung out and watched the View Steam Players per Game, especially after a game is released or there is a sale, you may see some of those numbers reflected on here (though obviously you'd need to figure out how many people would actually be playing the game simultaneously, which would be a small subset of all purchasers but there must be a mathematical formula to figure out some sort of stat...) Any math majors among us?

Probably the easiest would be a game like Left 4 Dead where we know all retail + digital sales go through Steam, then if we have a ballpark of how many sales there were, etc...

Edit: Heh, don't know why I can't leave this alone... Just noticed KOTOR on there with over 1000 people playing right now, which means that that sold digitally very well. I did a little math with Left 4 Dead and if about 2 Million copies were sold (1.8 confirmed retail I think for PC) then about .7% are online now. I put that to the test with Warhammer 4k DoWII and extrapolated about 500,000 copies sold. Obviously it won't be accurate for every game, and again I'm NOT a math major, but I'm going to keep an eye on this to see if I can crack the code

The game only gets better. No way does it deserve all the negative feedback. Great game IMO.

Great game imo. Just finished it, good sp for sure. Nice graphics, fun gameplay, and the "open-ness" was a nice touch as well

Haven't gotten around to even looking at the multi-player. I've been loving the single player to much.

I just ordered Wolfenstein from Amazon for $27.99. http://www.amazon.com/Wolfenstein-Pc...4870455&sr=8-1

I have been wanting to play it but all that bad press scared me away. I was one of the people who loved Quake 4 while most people hated it because they were in love with F.E.A.R. From the comments on this board it looks like it will be worth the price.

That was an awesome month when Quake 4 and FEAR launched together. ::

I also liked Quake 4 more, but FEAR has aged better, while QUAKE 4 has Peter Stomare.

I agree. I liked both F.E.A.R and Quake 4 but I did like Quake 4 a little bit more do to the long amount of time you spend in the office building in the middle of fear. It was indeed a great month when those two games dropped. I remember people was picking sides while some people like me enjoyed them both.

As for Wolfenstein I received it today I just passed the church lvl. The kb/mouse controls feel great. The one aspect of this game that reminds me of Q4 is the starting levels which start off fun but a bit generic with the later levels picking up and adding a unique flavor to it.
