Some parts of the game actually look pretty good, once you start actually playing it... still an obvious 360 port, but done well I think. The action in the game is great... has some neat ideas I don't want to spoil. Also, I knew there was a hub world like Hexen, but somehow forgot about it...

Two more pics below... the lighting seems to be the source of the impressive scenes, but the textures and such aren't bad either. Basically it just lacks a lot of geometry.

This game is really dated, it seems. Only three bullet shooting guns in the game. I was hoping for a nice selection of historical guns. After 13 minutes of play I had completed 7% of the game. I think the main problem is Raven took forever to make this, so it's like a two year old game. Despite the shortcommings it's pretty fun, but not at all what I was expecting given the way the Raven guys were saying it took so long becuase they wanted it to be the best it could be.

Textures look good at times, and "Legendary" at other times, if you get my drift. This is the best I've seen so far:

in wolf.cfg, look for numthreads and change it to however many you have for better performance, fwiw.

It's not like the old Q3 engine with the smp config variable that crashed the system when set to 1 right?

controls are really mushy imo. That alone makes it feel like a budget shooter.

So far I am having fun with this game, the performance is very good as one would expect, the graphics are decent.

Also I noticed this game has an incredible amount of gore also, seems like some functions of the old Ghoul location based damage made it to this game.

This game is meh at best. I played it for both PC and 360 and they both seem like 2 to 3 year old games. I do like the gore though. One thing I noticed is that I played 1 hour and 15 minutes and I was already done with 25% of the game...wtf?
