Yes, so far it does remind me a bit of Quake4 also. If you liked Quake4, I think you will like Wolfenstein.

Actually I find the game enjoyable so far.

If is says anything about the state of PC gaming, Gamestop in the mall here recieved only ONE copy of the PC version. One copy, and this is in a city of 150,000.

Now that I'm into the game further it's gotten better than it seemed at first.

They are not the same kind of shooter, at least not in Wolfenstein's early levels... I have done two levels and it plays like Call of Duty so far, more than Quake. It is more stop and pop, and lots of grenades.
Ok, thanks for clearing that up.

Red Faction and Resident Evil 5 isnt that far off so im spending my money elsewhere then.

Gamestop is actively disinterested in PC gaming because they get most of their money from used sales. I would suggest you do not support them with your money.

My local Best Buy and Walmart both have large PC game sections and both got a dozen or so copies of Wolfenstein in yesterday.

Wow, okay, so after playing more I have to say this game is very good. The hub world is great, the store and upgrades are good ways to encourage continued exploration and the side missions seem to be as well done as the main quests.

The veil offers some neat powers, and it is easy to use. I fought my first sci-fi enemies and that definately made the game more Quake-esque, more id in other words, rather than Call of Duty.

The game is shaping up to be quite good indeed. Two more random screens:

Because most whiners are spoiled kids who whine about eveything regardless of the impact their words have.It looks waaaay better than RTCW,so the graphics HAVE improved over the original. Not every game realesed has to be fing bleeding edge to be considered worthy of playing.I havnt got my copy yet but I will for sure by the weekend.Raven has always made decent games and I'm sure this is no exception.Judging by some of the screens I've recently seen posted here it looks entertaining and maybe a little gothic feeling.Lack of AA is no biggie,1920x1080 will take care of that.Whiners are prevelant in the pc forum world, just as they are in the online gaming world,be it lack of skills, lack of money or jealousy kids always complain and whine.
