I am a franciscan brother using open office software.
I am trying to discover how to put footnotes in a document so that the numbers are small in the places in the document where I wish to insert a footnote. Can anyone help me? My e-mail address is fryrchris@aol.com I am not sure that I'm going to be able to find the answer to this question from this posting, so if you would be so kind could you please also paste your reply into an e-mail to me. Peace and good, Br. Christopher, O.S.F. |

This is Br. Christopher, writing in reply to my own post,
because I see that the previous two replies have treated my question with mistrust. I am asking a real question and the responses I have received have not only surprised me, but will only prevent others from taking this question seriously. One should not just be able to make such accusations without any accountability, or due process, which is unjust and thereby unfair as well. Hopefully, others will not be so quick to rush to judgement and make it even harder for me to have the assistance I seek. Thank you. P.S. I have figured out how to read these posts so there is no need to e-mail with an answer if that is what is causing the mistrust. |

open ofs user,
Just a tip...in addition to the mistrust caused by postings of new members, there is also a general antipathy to be found on most internet sites towards Christians. I would suggest that in the future that you temporarily discard anything that identifies you as a Christian...other than your normal Christian manners. The internet is too often an unholy world, that reacts adversely to anyone that dons their Christian robes and appears in anyway to rely on these to have any good effect on their reception. Obviously, I'm not suggesting that you do anything to betray your beliefs, but to follow St. Paul's custom of "when in Rome, do as the Romans do". If you weren't a Christian, but of any other faith, you would be received more warmly, but that is a sign of the times in which we live.

The TRUTH is the OP seemed like a bot post. I mean, who includes their email address in a post? That is why there is mistrust, because his post looks like a post from a bot (it still does) and his english is poor. Not because of his religion. |

ViN86,
Perhaps I should have posted my response via a PM, rather than as a part of this thread, but that you disagree about the nature of the distrust is of no import to me. You are entitled to your opinion and to state it as you did, but I fail to see what the intended effect would be. If was to change my opinion, it didn't.

It seems that there are plenty of crowbars to go around.
