According to Nvidia, the 185 drivers are not, and will not, be supported on Xorg 1.8. I'm on Lucid right now and have no TV out. You could make it work with the 173 drivers but your graphics performance will drop horribly.

One of the Nvidia devs tested and couldn't reproduce our bug on a 9300gs, so I'm just trying to get and idea of what cards the bug occurs with in hopes that a developer can reproduce it with one.

Question Re: TV Not working with new nvidia drivers

is xorg server 1.8 and xorg server 1.7.6 the same?
in ditrowatch it says lucid package xorg server 1.8.1 version 1.7.6, seems pretty weird to me
1.8.1 or 1.7.6 ??

I wish someone with access to the src code would just do a diff from 185.18.14 to the next version and see what changed. All code after 185.18.14 does not work w tv out on a lot of NVIDIA cards.

The Nvidia drivers are closed source, so only an Nvidia developer could do this. All we can do is hope, wish, and wait.
