I want DOOM 4 :( - Page 2

I'm looking forward to DOOM 4. I enjoy DOOM 3 a lot and still plays classic DOOM like 50 or more times.

Wasn't DOOM 4 supposed to be a reboot to DOOM? Or maybe am I reading something different?

According to Hollenshead, "Not a sequel but not quite a reboot".

I just hope that they leverage the Id Tech 5 and make environments similar to the original DOOM and DOOM II, including toxic waste facilities, computer stations, hell, earth (downtown!

), etc.

I think if the next DOOM incorporates a very demon-filled world with great environment, fun-to-use weapons, a good storyline, supporting NPCs, CO-OP and Kickass deathmatch (and even some classic CTF or some other fun moves), it'll be great. The whole haunted house style of DOOM 3 was an interesting try, but let DOOM be DOOM! Realize the original vision that Id Tech 1 just couldn't display in its full glory!

Oh, and they should give the DOOM-guy a more DOOM-guy looking space suit. The DOOM 3 one was a bit generic.

The 2 levels in D3 and D3XP that were totally lights out were awesome.

Much better melee with animations (L4D spoiled me)

A great boss battle at the end that isn't confined to one small area where you knew exactly where and when baddies would spawn, along with an awesome death animation for the boss that does not involve a cut scene. I hated that, as well as the cut at the end of XP.

That's all..for now. Did I mention I really want this game?

That'd be awesome... especially more Hell levels. Hell in DOOM 3 was a bit letdown and short.

I voted yes.Doom was my introduction to FPS and how a game could actually inflict emotion

(more than just yay I win or lose).I just re-finished Doom 3 and have started back into ROE.I had just hoped to hear or see something of it out of Quakecon.

I didn't looove Doom 3, but I did like it quite a bit. Great shooter in a different vibe from the originals.

I do look forward to Doom 4... I hope it is faster paced and insane like the originals, though.

I remember the old days when I just got my P1 pc and had a first taste in fps. D1 and D2...was scared by the atmosphere. D3 was also great...despite what the critics say. Of course, Q1, Q2, Q3, Q4 I played them all.

I am about to replay Wolf3D with the upgraded graphics mods and such when I beat the new Wolf game.

I just love those old shooters.

not really, closed confined spaces, enemies comming form no where, cant see anything. It was overdone, way overdone, after awhile you just knew to turn around and shoot. Doom3 like Doom2 and Doom1 are the excat same formula i want something new, and given ID's previous titles i expect the same linear gameplay, that is stupidly predictable where the next spawn is 5 minutes into the game

It would be more likely to see native coop in a Prey game I would imagine.
