Unhappy Asus N50Vn GF9650M GT to appear artifact then hang whole system

Hello. I have strange problem with Linux(and Windows, see below) drivers. On all drivers newer than 180.51 to appear artifact then hang whole system. It looks like that:

I use 180.51 long time but some time ago I have first crash on this drivers, system not hang up so I take screenshot and after restarting X.org(1.6 from sid, but problem still exist on 1.4 too) all works fine but only few minuts, so I restart system.

I attach two logs from nvidia-bug-report.sh. First is after first crash on 180.51 and second on latest stable drivers 185.18.36. I really want help with solve tihs problem, so I can reproduce this bug on all drivers and distribution Linux what you want and give suitable logs from my system.

Under Windows Vista SP2 and 186.03_notebook_winvista_32bit_international_whql I have similar problem, but I don't have artifacts, just system hang up and rebooting. Only driver from CD works good on Windows. So i think this is drivers bug, not hardware.

What do you think ?

PS: I apologise for my feeble english ;-((.

Regard,
Kamil L.

I had been having this problem as well, though not in windows- hardly use it. Updating bios as OP suggested seems to have fixed my corruption -> hang issues with current stable drivers (185.18.36).

My bug report post was here:
