The edited hud files only work when you patch with the 1024x768 interface as the base - regardless of the resolution you're actually patching to.

Widescreeny goodness indeed... game looks pretty good still, to my eye. Nice and clean looking, with a great art direction to match the movies (the good ones, anyway). The MMO has more on screen, but given its cartoony look I think KotOR might even be the better looking game.
