The first one is much better, the story is well... Complete. KOTOR2, Obsidian were dragging their feet and LA more or less forced them to release the game.

That Jedi girl, Bastilla is hot. Hotter than Ashley.

Nah. Ash is hotter, but Bastilla is still pretty hot, and smart. Ash is a dumb farm girl.

I replayed KOTOR 2 a couple months ago. Was good fun. I regret selling KOTOR, I think it was a better plot and the ending was climactic rather than confusing like #2.

I'd recommend the game to people who have not played before.

Did you get both endings, Greg?

KOTOR 1's story was so fleshed out compared to the second one. And you're right, narc. It does still look good. I might have to fish out my old cds from the storage bin and give it another go soon.

So are you guys using this new widescreen hack for the steam version only? Or will the standard patch from widescreengaming work on the retail versions fine still?

It works with the retail game well... you can also modify the HUD to make it smaller and more "HD"... it's all on WSGF's wiki page. Pretty simple to do, even though it is classified as a complicated solution.

Thanks, narc.

Wasn't there an installer you can use that already tweaked all these settings from their page?

Edit: Yep, here it is. No hex editing or anything needed.

I believe I did. I played KOTOR1 3x and KOTOR2 2x. I played as extreme evil and extreme good for both games and with different companions. Even though combat was a bit linear, and scenery repetitive, the overall experience was fun.

Uniws doesn't work for the Steam version. You need to replace the *.exe with a no-cd one for it to work.

There was a vital part in the game where you had to pick a specific sequence in order to get the different ending. I'm not sure if being 100% evil or good matters, just this specific decision in the game where the scenario changes. It's been so long, that I don't remember.

Ah. Well I can use it since I'll be using my retail CDs.
