Did you make sure the exe wasn't set to read only?

Ok i got KOTR installed and i got the widescreen working...(i think)...anyway it does set to 1920x1080.

I also downloaded the hud correction and picked the appropriate file from the site for 1920x1080....i copy it over to the override folder and run the game...the hud is still off..it is still on the 1080 settings location....

am i doing something wrong ><?

all good i got it to work.

didn't realise the unwis patch thing had more kotr resolution options lmao...

game looks pro btw. i did finish kotr2 as good and went almost to the end as bad but never got to finish it. so i am excited to play a similar game with kotr and people say kotr had better story.

k, movies dont work if you use widescreen resolution. using 1920x1080 = no movies. using 1600x1200 has movies...but the game ofcourse looks really lol

Any way to add the old retail version (via key) to Steam? Dealing with all the CD's, not even DVD's is a pain.

possible solution to movies

Regardless there is a way to patch the game without changing movie resolution.

1. Undo any previous patching with UniWS, or start with a fresh copy of the executable.
2. Open the patches.ini file that comes with UniWS in Wordpad.
3. Scroll down to the section labeled: [Star Wars: KOTOR (1024x768 interface)]
4. Delete this entire section:
Code:
;movies edit 1
p4modfile=swkotor.exe
p4undofile=swkotorc.undom1
p4sig=800200007515813DD8D17800E001
p4sigwild=00000000000000
p4xoffset=0
p4yoffset=12
p4occur=1
;movies edit 2
p5modfile=swkotor.exe
p5undofile=swkotorc.undom2
p5sig=80020000C7442410E001
p5sigwild=0000000000
p5xoffset=0
p5yoffset=8
p5occur=1

5. Save the file and then patch the game with UniWS as normal.

This will make the movies play in the game's normal resolution of 640x480 (by default the game is hardcoded to play movies in this resolution regardless of the selected resolution). If your monitor is slow to do mode switches, the first couple seconds may be black.

going to try it.
