Yes I also thought this game was flop lol but it is getting very high ratings. May be it has nice enjoyable physics and fun to play I guess that's why everyone seems to like it so much

Initial impressions: Physics and sound are awesome, graphics a little less jaggies than expected ,using the multiple screen setting to get more of the steering wheel/dash visible and that works really well (the right stick up left/right no longer displays inside wiews though) I'd say though that eventhough the game looks good, its far from the advertized detail levels.

Agreed,i always felt the same about the PGR series aswell,at the time it was lightyears ahead of pc racers in the car-modelling and overall enviroments departments . I love the weather/lighting effects in PGR4,still looks great .

Some say there is no weight transfer or lift off oversteer in Forza 3. And looking at YouTube I don't see much suspension action going on. I may get this game tomorrow along with an MS wheel to find out for myself.

This game really has got great review and is considered as one of the best racing game only few critics have said it is same game with little difference, forza 2.5
I wish they had released in other formats although graphics looks ordinary looks like it is fun racing game. I love racing games I can play them all day ![]() |

Well, I went out and bought Forza 3 and the 360 wireless wheel.
This wheel is huge and is horrible when compared to the logitech DFP. The FFB is so weak. But it does it's job. I've just been playing for a few hours so I don't want to review yet. But I did drive the Pontiac Solstice (Sp?) at Leguna just as I've been doing on iRacing. In iRacing I could barely do 2:00.xx lap with a lot of effort. In Forza 3 I could do it in 1:52.xx without much effort. I can comment on the graphics. The Forza tracks are better than GT5 but overall the graphics don't compare to GT5's photo realism. Forza looks like a game. It's really about lighting. It will take a while for me to get a feel for the game. But I can already see that it's really a great game. I suspect overall maybe the best racing GAME around on any platform. But I have to live with it for a while to say that.

I'm up to Season 4 and the R3 races. Wow.
I'm loving this game. The online races are great. I've never had so much fun racing online before. I'm so hooked I'm not even thinking about getting MW2 for a while.

Excellent game. On level 36 and still not bored but these faster R cars are less interesting to me. Instead I find myself doing my own setup races with AI in Private Servers with C-G class cars.

Finally picked this up, I'm not really into the totally real racing sims, so this is a nice mix of realism and arcade type feel. I still play the Burnout games (totally unrealistic I know).
I'm enjoying it and can't wait for GT5 next year. |

I just got this game a few weeks ago for $40 and Target and it is AWESOME.
I am a huge Gran Turismo fan, so some of the arcade style items (e.g. rewind) are ok, but you don't have to use them. Also the difficulty is kind of strange because I dominate on medium but get crushed on hard lol. I really love the depth to the game though. Fully customizable cars and the marketplace features (buying other peoples tunings, the auction house, etc.) are amazing. One of my best game purchases this year ![]() |
