I never got into the Resi games, but I like this one. Probably because it's Diet Evil, I'm not good with intense games like FEAR, Dead Space and the original Resident Evils and Alone in the Darks.

I kinda wish I imported the Asian version just so I could have the proper Bio Hazard title... Is there a mod for this?

I have to say one thing (up to chapter 3-1) the graphics in this game are amazing. The characters look fantastic in cutscenes, the monsters of all types (eg dogs) look really good too, environment is crisp and lighting is almost perfect. Some of the cutscenes are really well put together too, nice angles, nice animation and good voice work.

I have a modest system by todays standards (amd dual core, 2900xt), I'm running it on highest settings, 1920x1080 with 2aa and it runs really well, some scenes I'm really gobsmacked as to how they get it running so damn well on my PC, kudos to CAPCOM.

Couple of things I'm not over the moon about though

1. game mechanics of not being able to move while reloading or even turn while reloading () I can forgive not moving while shooting. Also the ammo counts are pretty sad, being able to upgrade weapons and all that but not buy ammo is a game mechanic I can't look past as well.

2. AI can suck at times. Enemy AI is not as bad coz hey they are dumb zombies, but sometimes they run into walls (intentional?). However sheva is a dumb *****, she gets in my way of shooting, she will waste ammo she will not help me, but most of all she shoots into me...wtf?

Video evidence:

I mean if they spent a little bit more time getting some really good AI partner mechanics happening (it might not take much) and they would have a pretty amazing game. Which again brings me to playing some coop, it essentially eliminates one of my biggest problems with the game.

Forget about area 3. I can't figure out why area 4 suddently gets slow on my Core i7 / GTX 280 SLI system.

I get the exact same thing with my i7 / 295 system.

Test 1: 204
Test 2: 178
Test 3: 151
Test 4: 49

Strange.

Edit: Just re-ran it with AA at 8x and Test 4 went from 49 to 58...lol.
