Can you run Doom 1? If so then yes Dark Forces will run for you... no you can't enable AA or AF nor can you increase the resolution...

I wonder if anyone made an OpenGL mod for it like they did with Doom.

i didn't realized dark forces was that old. never played it

I just saw on another forum that they removed the music tracks from Jedi Knight and Mysteries of the Sith....if this is true: EPIC FAIL!!!!

Yeah I read that on the steam forums. They don't have the redbook audio included. They really should put out .iso images for those people that want it. I bet they didn't include it because they didn't want to do anything with the exe's and people would have to burn a CD if they wanted the music.

I just bought DF&Jedi Academy since those two are what i've played.

I still have the three level demo cd for Dark Forces from before the game came out

Ah- thanks.

I know the original version used software, not hardware, acceleration (is that even the right jargon? ). Wasn't sure about this one- if some how they had it emulated via OpenGL or DirectX- don't even know if that's possible.

Anyhow, gonna' fire up DF nao.

Jedi Knight works okay... it has some minor color issues, like Fallout, but unlike Fallout playing in 256 colors doesn't fix it. Have to google that one.

They don't make games like that anymore though... awesome cinemas, fast-paced fun gameplay. so much atmosphere...
