(EE) Failed to find required symbol 'dixLookupResource'

This occurs when trying to load the extensions on X.Org X Server 1.6.99.901 (1.7.0 RC 1).
It causes mucho breakage in that GLX fails to load and causes segfaults all over.
This breaks glxinfo, compiz and anything else trying to use the GLX extension.

This is a new error since .901 as .900 works fine if you revert. So, yet another change
for you devs to kindly fix for us, please!

Can you please attach the Xorg.0.log file from the failed attempt? The driver doesn't have any code that would print that message, so I suspect it's coming from some other module that needs to be recompiled.

Oh wait, never mind. I'll file a bug and try to get this resolved for the next release.

I don't have the regular Xorg one, unfortunately, but I have a gdm one that has the same error in it. There is mention of something new in the Fedora changelog starting with .901 -- re-enabling the Xdmx extension, perhaps it's coming from that?

Just saw your update, so I'll keep this posted anyways.. there is some extra bits in there while I was trying to diagnose the problem (double extension loads and such) that you can ignore. If you need anything more, let me know!

This error still occurs with 190.32 on Fedora Rawhide.
