Unhappy Dell Inspiron display turns off when X starts

After installing the 4363 drivers and rebooting, I got a black screen when X started. At first I thought it was the same problem that everyone else was having so I tried the various solutions everyone posted to no avail. It wasn't until I plugged in another CRT to my VGA port that I found out that X had started just fine, and that my LCD display was simply (and strangely) turned off when X booted. For now I've had to revert to the nv driver that came with RH9 (ick), but I was wondering if anyone knew a solution for my problem?

System information:
Dell Inspiron 2650
GeForce2Go 16MB
Intel Pentium 4 1.7 GHz
128 MB DDR RAM
Dell Laptop Display 1024x768
RedHat 9

/etc/X11/XFree86Config
(Notes: this is the current config (the one that works.) Before I changed it back the only real difference was that "nv" was changed to "nvidia" and the DRI section was commented out):

# By default, Red Hat 6.0 and later now use a font server independent of
# the X server to render fonts.

Default same thing here

Same laptop => same problem.

Moreover, latest LindowsOS 4.0 seems to include drivers 4363, which make installation impossible.

Previous versions of the drivers worked though.
