sorry for late reply doc. No I didnt. The 2nd card doesnt even have a monitor hooked to it. just put it in and let windows install the driver on its own. I assume it used what was already there from the 280. Big difference though. God I love 1080p gaming on a 55". Some of the newer hdtvs are awesome. The toshiba 650u I have has a native mode so that there is no video scaling at all. Perfect screen fit at 1080p !! Never go back to gaming at a desk again. Laser mouse works perfectly on a couch cushion with a wireless keyboard in my lap, feet up on an ottoman. Bliss.

Lets hope that more physx titles get this type of bump in performance from adding an old card. It was very surprising to see for sure.

So much for that thread about 3 or 4 months ago saying "Physx is bull****"....
It takes time for this technology to develop... I really wish I had more than just an 8600 GT for physx... but alas, not worth buying another card for it.

I never liked Ageia's card... mostly because it was underpowered... but honestly nvidia's design now that you can use your old video cards is genius.... as long as we have a spare slot we'll always be able to use physx because of the natural upgrade cycle... very very few of us don't have a spare 8xxx series laying around... even if it is just an 8600 GT it's a great addition

I am trying to beat too many games at once so I still have not beaten batman. Dirt 2, Metriod 3, Need For speed shift and Batman !! Too many good games for me right now. I cant decide which one to play half the time.

I just got a 9600GT to work as dedicated PhysX card and it works pretty good. The benchmark gives those numbers:
- Min: 31 - Avg: 68 - Max: 128 PhysX is high, and resolution is 1920x1200 with 4xAA (forced via ATI control panel). I like how ATI and nVidia cards work together
