Awesome IMO

No doubt that one will appreciate this most, if one has read the novels though

I have no idea why you wouldn't like the novels, they have received universal praise and have excellent good user reviews on sites such as amazon as well. Makes me wonder if you ever gave them (especially Eric Nylund's) a fair chance? Perhaps you did, we don't all share the same taste.. I just thought they were great

Perhaps a little more anime then most of the US based cartoons I see today, but nothing really excited me. For one, todays anime really exploits HD, highly detailed sets, CG, halo legends looks like an older anime. The animation was actually beyond superb for the cliff fall scene, but everything else was well below par. The mess hall scene was embarrassingly bad, with badly drawn art and cliche lines being told (badly I might add).

The very first scene should have been CG, or at least filled with post effects. I also question the whole drop ship scene together. Single pods? hitting the ground at insane Gforces with nothing more then a mildly cumfy chair and their battle suit? no breaking thrusters? I don't think so.

Considering the mount of money the brand name can make today, this series dosn't look anywhere near the budget it demands.

I don't think so. Pretty sure it's set when there were a few Spartans. Besides, did you ever see Chief move like that?
