it probably is just a blue screen, and you have automatic restart enabled so you don't see it.
it means all the power goes off on my pc then it starts up again no BSOD

That's a BSoD. By default you wont see a Blue Screen as the PC reboots on it's own. Unless... You already disabled Automatic restart?! ::

No offense taken, this is what I'm getting. Physx is installed btw.

Browsing around it seems quite a few folks are experiencing crashes...

EDIT: pc is non responsive after I get this except for task manager.

You can say that about every PC game ever made.

Unlike Steam, with D2D you basically download the files that would normally be on the DVD. So it works just like if you bought it from retail. You unzip then run setup enter your CD-Key D2D gives you and it installs. Unlike the retail for Risen, it will go online and activate the game via the Tages protection. It is unknown if there are install limits but I am sure there are. D2D service is OK I have not had any real issues with the service other than my Thief Deadly Shadows game not working and no one there being able to help me get it to work. For the price though I would get it from D2D it's cheaper than even Steam's Preorder price and since all Download versions have Tages w/ online activation it doesn't matter where you digitally get the game from.

Im gonna check Best Buy today and see if they have it, I have a $10 coupon for them. If they don't have it im going to get it from Direct2Drive since Steam is $10 more for some odd reason...

So what's your point? I'm looking for a solution for this game.

Thanks

That's the exact same crash I experienced with the demo. I can't figure out the problem either.

I wonder if the physx version may be the issue. I may try an earlier version when I get home. If it works I'll post the version. I'd really like to give this game a try, sounds good.
